Rev. Doug Banks was born in the great city of Detroit, Michigan & graduated from Cass Technical High School. Rev. Banks received a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in Church History from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. There he also served as one of the chairpersons for the Garrett-Evangelical Black Seminarians Student organization. In 2010, Rev. Banks was ordained an Itinerate Elder in the AME Church by Bishop John R. Bryant at the Michigan Annual Conference. Rev. Banks is formerly an associate minister at Oak Grove AME, where he served as the Director of Evangelism & Outreach Ministries. Rev. Banks also served at Quinn Chapel AME Church in Chicago as the Ministerial Chief of Staff and Director of Evangelism/Membership Ministries. In 2009, Rev. Banks served as the Supply Pastor of Hyde Park AME Church in Chicago, Il. Rev. Banks has one daughter, Danielle Banks. |
